With over 27 years’ of experience in plastic and reconstructive surgery, Dr Hertess is clear on her purpose, to lift women up and empower them. The beauty of her work is that she harnesses her female perspective, understanding that how we look can ultimately effect how we feel. Each patient is unique, and their surgery needs and reasons are different.

Motherhood is an incredibly rewarding period in a woman’s life, but the effects of pregnancy, child birth and raising children can be intense on our bodies and the inner dialogue we carry about ourselves. Dr Hertess has experienced this first hand, with twin daughters and a son she knows the magnitude at which being a parent can change us physically and mentally. Through this, Dr Hertess can connect with her patients on a deeper level with mutual understanding that how we look can go hand in hand with how we feel.
Whether you are in your 20’s, 30’s, 40’s or 50’s - Dr Hertess is dedicated to ensuring that every woman who walks into her operating room, leaves knowing they have been taken care of, their desired outcomes have been achieved to our surgeon’s best ability and their lives have been positively impacted for the better.
Dr Isolde Hertess began her medical profession in 1986 after graduating from Melbourne University’s Medical School. Driven by a passion to uplift women, she then went on to complete a further eight years of specialised training in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery.
At the time of Dr Hertess’s medical training, less than 3% of the world’s plastic surgeon’s were female. In a highly male orientated profession, this undoubtedly adds further testimony to her character, will and passion – not only as a determined woman but as a surgeon.
In 1993, Dr Hertess was honoured to gain her Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) in the division of plastic and reconstructive surgery and has since gained accreditations with the following professional associations;
